As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, the Sports Ambassadors and the children we lead out our Change 4 Life Club went on a trip to Sainsbury’s. Using vouchers, we bought bananas and grapes and learnt oodles of information about what made the fruit fairtrade – including where it came from and why fairtrade is so important.
Back at school, we created fruit pots filled with our delicious grapes and bananas and sold them in a Healthy Cafe. In total we raised a fantastic £43. The Sports Ambassadors have decided we will spend the profit on a smoothie maker so that our next Healthy Cafe can be an even greater success!
