To celebrate Fairtrade this year, in conjunction with Sports Relief, the children in Year 6 organised and managed a Healthy Café, which was enjoyed by all children in the school.

Using exclusively Fairtrade products, the children made and sold a range of healthy snacks such as vegetable pots, fruit salad and juices.  The café proved to be very popular as children made positive choices to not only support farmers in developing countries (through buying Fairtrade goods) but to also improve their own healthy lifestyles.

In total, £86 profit was made by the Café; the proceeds will be used to purchase Fairtrade products to support learning in school.

Well done to the all the Year 6 children for managing the café and thank you to all the children who bought and enjoyed the food!
