Free School Meals

If you think you are entitled to free school meals, we encourage you to apply as all information is treated in confidence. Children who are registered for free school meals by the start of each term are saving the cost of daily school meals, as well as being entitled to free milk – saving families even more money.

Having access to free school meals provides nutritious meals, which have been shown to lead not only to healthier, happier and more fulfilled children, but to improved educational attainment. Evidence suggests that children perform better academically, there is a better atmosphere in school and behaviour is much improved as a result of children eating together every day. We therefore hope that all parents will apply for free school meals for all our pupils.

In doing so, parents who receive this, also support the school as it continues to receive extra funding through the pupil premium, which is worth over £1,000 a year per pupil.

To apply, you can contact the school office with your name, National Insurance number, date of birth and your child’s details.
